Paris took me for an exploration of the business district of Bellingham. Given the rain, I was frugal with the snapshots, but this was a little slice of a charming town.

The view, walking up the street from Paris' building one cool and cloudy morning ... the blue Victorian is a B&B called the North Garden Inn. This view is pretty typical of the Bellingham neighborhoods.
Signs of the time - this is only one example of home after home, displaying patriotism and anitwar sentiments.

The Whatcom County Courthouse in Bellingham, an example of how this pretty town didn't fall into the trap that utilitarian buildings must be ugly to be responsible to the taxpayers.

Part of one of the marinas in Bellingham Bay - just a narrow snapshot of a wide boatyard.
