Paris
took me for an exploration of the business district of Bellingham. Given
the rain, I was frugal with the snapshots, but this was a little slice of
a charming town.

| The
view, walking up the street from Paris' building one cool and cloudy morning
... the blue Victorian is a B&B called the North Garden Inn. This view
is pretty typical of the Bellingham neighborhoods. |
|
| Signs
of the time - this is only one example of home after home, displaying patriotism
and anitwar sentiments. |
|
The
Whatcom County Courthouse in Bellingham, an example of how this pretty town
didn't fall into the trap that utilitarian buildings must be ugly to be
responsible to the taxpayers. |
|
| Part
of one of the marinas in Bellingham Bay - just a narrow snapshot of a
wide boatyard.
