The
back garden, facing east. The new mulch, put down over the weekend, shows
up at the far side of the garden looking fresh and bright ... a nice contrast
to the sweet green epimediums.
The Dancing
Buddha is bright red and laughing, the first thing I see when I look out
my bedroom window each morning.

| The
opposite side of the garden - the blooming rose is past it's peak but
still flowering, catmint filling out just next to it and more fresh mulch.
The garden is much tidier after the weekend's weeding and picking up the
fallen branches.
Ethyl gave
me the Buddha, her son left it with her when he left town, and she felt
that it suited me. Yes, it does. |
 |
| We'd
been hanging out in the back ... I took some pictures, she had some salad
... then I suggested we go in since the mosquitoes were getting fierce.
She seemed willing until she came across this grass outside the back door.
Then I couldn't lure her in and when I told her I was going to post these
pictures of her she refused to come in at all. She's still out there,
under the rose bush. |
 |
While
there was still a bit of daylight I took this picture of her grazing ...
she pretty much eats all the time but to her credit she really does like
her salad.
I think it
looks like she's chewing the fence, or perhaps singing to the moon, but
believe me, she's eating.
Surprised?
