clematis is called The President. Not Our President, or the Current President.
It's a good plant, and continues to grow a little bigger every year.
There's reason
to hope that some day it will cover the porch rail ... |

of the family gave this peony to me ... it too continues to get a bit bigger
each year. |

| Salvia,
geraniums, iris ... and of course the strawberries which will be weeds later
in the year, but for now they are welcome. |

these pictures were taken when i returned home from work - it had rained
softly, and the water clung to the petals in the way that calendar photographers
must use a spray bottle to recreate. I guess I think it's a weird technique,
but there they are, water droplets ... |
