This clematis is called The President. Not Our President, or the Current President. It's a good plant, and continues to grow a little bigger every year.

There's reason to hope that some day it will cover the porch rail ...

Friends of the family gave this peony to me ... it too continues to get a bit bigger each year.
Salvia, geraniums, iris ... and of course the strawberries which will be weeds later in the year, but for now they are welcome.
All these pictures were taken when i returned home from work - it had rained softly, and the water clung to the petals in the way that calendar photographers must use a spray bottle to recreate. I guess I think it's a weird technique, but there they are, water droplets ...
