It
will be great
to have a
garage - the
door to this
one runs along
a track that
carries it
back into
the wall at
the side,
instead of
pulling it
up into the
ceiling. It's
a nice corner
lot, still
a small (manageable)
yard ... ask
me how I feel
about the
corner lot
after a winter
of shoveling
snow down
the driveway
and across
the front
and along
the side ...
ah well, we
don't get
much snow
around here
anyway. |

| I've
always admired
the design of
this house,
the details,
the many large
windows ...
every time I
walked by it
I smiled at
how pretty it
is. I never
imagined I would
actually live
there. But soon,
I will. |

| Bungalow
details (it
was built in
1927) including
asymmetry, fireplace,
half-story top
floor, and mixed
exterior surfaces
- brick first
floor, wood
shingles above. |

The little
steps up to
the gate go
into my back
yard ... it's
a very narrow
yard with
a small walkway
and a prominent
clothesline.
The tree on
this side
is locust,
the tree in
front is an
ash ... it
doesn't appear
to be afflicted
by the emerald
ash borer
yet, and if
I'm lucky
I'll be able
to treat it
and it can
fight off
the little
buggers ...
unlike so
many once
beautiful
(now dying
or dead) ash
trees all
over southeastern
Michigan ...
